A Gainesville Dental Office Built Around How the Visit Feels
Dr. Clarissa Moore opened Alvorada Dentistry at the end of 2013 with two people on staff. Enough families kept coming back that we’ve grown to a team of dentists and more than twenty staff, now in a larger space a few doors down in the same shopping center.
What has not changed is how appointments run. We explain what we found and why we’re recommending it, then leave time for questions. You will not get a lecture about flossing. Our team speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Korean, so you can ask those questions and understand your options in the language you feel most comfortable with.
Coffee or water while you wait, a TV and headphones once you’re in the chair, a blanket and pillow if you want them, and a prize box for the kids. Sedation is available if you need more than that.
Meet Dr. Clarissa Moore
Dr. Moore completed her dental education in Brazil and went on to a general practice residency at Northside Medical Center Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, where she served as chief resident.
She keeps up her training in general, cosmetic, and implant dentistry and provides adult orthodontic treatment through Invisalign and Six Month Smiles.
She lives about a mile from the office in Gainesville with her two daughters. Patients who see her tend to describe the same thing: she takes the time to get to know you one-on-one, so you can make an informed choice rather than a rushed one.

The Alvorada VIP Membership Plan
An annual plan with no deductibles, no waiting periods, no annual maximum, and no claim forms. Preventive membership for ages 13 and up is $420 per year, child membership for ages 12 and under is $390 per year, and the perio membership is $725 per year, each with a one-time $60 activation fee.

Are you accepting new patients in Gainesville?
Yes. You can book online, or call or text (703) 754-7788. If you don’t have insurance, ask about our $189 New Patient Special, which covers a comprehensive exam, full mouth x-rays, perio charting, and a 3D scan.
Do you offer same-day emergency appointments?
Yes. If you have pain, swelling, a broken tooth, or a dental injury, contact our Gainesville dentists right away, and we’ll do our best to see you the same day.
What insurance do you take?
We’re in-network with nearly all PPO dental plans, including Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, MetLife, Guardian, United Healthcare, United Concordia, BlueCross BlueShield, Anthem, Ameritas, GEHA, Lincoln Financial, and Premier. If you’re unsure about your plan, call our front desk and we’ll check it for you.
What if I do not have dental insurance?
Two options. The $189 New Patient Special covers your first comprehensive visit. The Alvorada VIP Membership Plan covers preventive care for a flat annual fee starting at $390 for children and $420 for adults, with reduced rates on most other procedures. We also offer financing through CareCredit and Cherry.
What languages does your team speak?

I get anxious at the dentist. What are my options?
Tell us before your appointment. We offer sedation options and a comfort menu that includes blankets, pillows, headphones, and TV. Our team is used to treating nervous patients and will pause whenever you need us to.
How often should I see a Gainesville dentist?
Every 6 months for most people. If you have gum disease, orthodontic treatment underway, or ongoing restorative work, we may recommend a shorter interval and will explain why.
